Insa introduces a new reality experience for the cannabis industry’s biggest day of the year
CHALLENGE
Bring cannabis for real life to the everyman; leverage the worldwide cannabis ‘holiday’ on April 20 (4/20) for Insa via customizable and authentic experiences that fully immerse consumers in the Insa brand, cultivation/craft of its products and its community.
ACTIVATION
- Customers were invited to experience Insa via a VR lifestyle experience and branded ‘swag’ created for the activation.
- The VR experience was programmed for each consumer to choose what cannabis benefits they were looking to achieve through a customized app.
- The VR program customized the experience for the customer to learn about cultivation, the Insa craft process; the Insa team of founders, growers, makers, Insa stores, products as well as benefits, safety and more.
- In addition to the VR/Oculus experience, customers were surrounded by scents, sounds and tastes that further brought to life the Insa brand and the 4/20 experience with DJs, photo moments, samples and ‘must-have,’ fun giveaways.
- Interior and exterior activations took place on 4/19 and 4/20 on-site at four Insa retail stores in Massachusetts
RESULTS
- Lift in sales/increased brand awareness
- Repeat customers during two-day activation
- Sold out ‘swag’ including branded beanies and tshirts
- National/regional media coverage
- Trademarked tag line ‘Where Every-bud-y Knows Your Strain’ for future use
